Please share your easy and yummy appetizer recipes....?

Yes, I said 'yummy', because I am looking for appetizers that will appeal to kids as well as adults. I want some to have at the ready all day Christmas day (so breakfast appetizers are also great) for family to munch in between opening presents and playing with presents. Things I can throw in the oven with only a few minutes prep or only need to mix together a few ingredients before it hits the table. Like I said before, I also need them to appeal to kids :0) Thanks!

Question #7:

Can a store cook and prep a live lobster for me?

For my parents anniversary, I want to make them dinner and for an appetizer I'm planning on making them lobster bisque. However, all the recipes require that you cook a live lobster, then chop it up, separating and storing both the lobster's juices and it's meat, and quite frankly...there's no way I could do that. Call me a sissy, whatever, but I cannot sit there and watch a live lobster die, I would probably cry! Is it possible that they could do all of that for me at the store, or perhaps at a local fish market or somewhere that would do that? And if so, what would the cost be? Thank you!

Question #8:

What's the best appetizer you've ate?

What is the one appetizer you've had that you can't forget? The best one you've ever ate? Even better... do you have the recipe?

Question #10:

How to convince my mom to let me be in charge of the food at my baby shower, i'm vegan?

my mom is planning my baby shower, and i really want there to be all vegan food, not nessisarly anything super fancy or complicated, basically everything that normally everyone eats just without meat and cheese. Some appetizers like sandwiches and fruit salad, casseroles, pasta salads....i don't really know what kind of theme it is, or what types of food will be served, but those are examples of what i COULD make if my mom came around and we planned that part together. I haven't even brought it up to her, but after her response when i offered to make a vegan dinner once a month or even once a week, i pretty much figure she won't be up for it...on the up side, i still have my dads side of the family, my dads sister would be cool with it, but it would still mean alot to me if i could show off my cooking skills and really show my family (especially my mom) that it's alot better tasting and filling than they assume and hopefully bring me closer to them once they understand it's not that limited, and they could possibly want the recipe...So yea, how to tell my mom that i want to be in charge of food for my baby shower
i'm 19 and live with my bf
Wally:
how am i enforcing that on them, it's one frickin meal, it's not the end of the world, it's a chance to try new YUMMY foods. I don't expect them to go vegan, i just want to share my food with them for ONE special occasion. There's no need to be so narrow minded and stubborn
Really? Cuz i'm pretty sure that they'd be just like you, find out it's vegan and won't even try it. Do you know how many times people have tried vegan food and didn't know it was vegan and said it was delicious and then found out what it was and were shocked? It's called psyching yourself out, you hear it's vegan so you tell yourself it can't possibly taste good, so you avoid it without even trying it OR you try it but since you told yourself it won't taste good, you're brain tricks your tastes buds to taste something bad. Thanks but no thanks, and i'm not a bridezilla, people like you just piss me off cuz they have all these beliefs and walls that block off new experiences, so you stay in your little comfort zone. Dont judge me by my age, i know what i'm talking about, it's been scientifically proven. And since they're omnivores, they'll eat anything, plus there's no food allergies that i need to specify since none will be in the food

Question #14:

Looking for a dinner choice of a combination of 3 cultures.?

Hello. :) I am 97% Kurdish from the Iraq area, 2% Serbian, and 1% Lebanese. And I have been basically eating the same thing for over a week now, which is Shile u Brinc, rice and a stewy soup. If that makes sense. (Shile u Brinc is the national dish or Kurdistan anyway. hehe)

Since I only found out about my ethnic background not so long ago, I want to combine them. I want the recipes with only the freshest ingredients, and the most outrageous tastes. Not too outrageous. It can't contain pork, not that I'm a Muslim, I am sort of. I eat it sometimes but it adds on the waistline and the heart. Not good.

I want it to be low-cal, low in saturated fat, but high in mono- and poly- fats, the good kind. It can be divided up in 3 different dishes, like appetizer, main dish... Or combined together.

Thank you so very much. :)

Question #17:

It's ZUCCHINI time in Wisconsin! Do you have a very delicious recipe for zucchini?

My garden is producing zucchini at a record pace like the "Smoos" (can't remember the spelling, but the more you ate them the faster they multiplied) in the old Sunday funnies cartoon.

I have a zucchini bread recipe but we are a little tired of it already. I like stir fry, but my husband hates them. (Maybe there is a recipe out there that he might like a bit more.) Maybe you have a recipe that your family loves. Please share it with us. It could be anything from soup to nuts as the saying goes.

Appetizers
Casseroles
Desserts
Something with eggs
Breads
Cake
Muffins
Cookies
With other Vegetables

You get the idea!

Thanks so much, and I wish you well my friend!
